Nursery Projects

June 8, 2012

Little Man's room is coming along! I worked on his mobile last weekend and here are the finished pictures...

What do you think?!?

I looked at one of his crib sheets from Land of Nod and cut out birds and shapes then embroidered them before hanging up the mobile!

Added these feathered friends to baby's room - they were so cute and soft that I couldn't resist! (Pier 1)

We also got a surprise package in the mail this week! Our family in Oklahoma sent us these great books and sweet little white hat. Can't wait until baby boy is here to read them to him!

First baby project - the nursery! We decided to go with a grey and yellow color scheme for our new little bundle. Here are some before pictures. It is still a work in progress so I will be posting photos of the finished nursery as we go. Only 3 more months until we get to meet him!

The room starting out as a blank canvas - before paint!

Putting together baby's grey crib! I fell in LOVE with grey cribs while looking at the Land of Nod website. Their cribs range from $700-$900. I kept thinking that there had to be something out there more budget friendly. Well, after searching a few places I found it. This crib came from Walmart.com and is wonderful! I thought at first the construction would be less than high quality and maybe cheap looking. This crib proved me wrong and we got it for $199 versus $900. Definitely a score! You can also see that we have painted the walls! 2 accent walls were painted a dark charcoal grey and the others a light grey. More pictures to come!
